A vehicle registration plate, car number plate stamping line

This is a vehicle registration plate stamping line which has been delivered and installed to our customer's factory last month.

Car license plates are necessary for a car to run legally on the road, there are several steps for manufacturing a license plate:

Step 1: Uncoiling & Straightening

Firstly, we need to uncoiling the steel strip from a metal coil, then leveling it into a flat sheet. In this process, we can use a combined decoiler straightener machine for uncoiling and straightening.

The model used in this stamping line is GL-300, it can process the strip thickness from 0.3mm to 3.2mm, coil width up to 300mm. The combined structure guarantees a synchronous between uncoiling and straightening.

 

STEP 2: Film Laminating

After straightening the steel strip, it will need a laminating machine to cover the surface of the metal strip with a colored film. This type of film carries the reflective material needed for the license plate.


 

Step 3: Coil Feeding

After the coil strip covered with the colored film, we need to feed the metal strip into stamping press, which will need a servo feeder.

The model used in this number plate stamping line is RNC-300, servo roll feeder with the pneumatic release, with feeding accuracy +/-0.1mm.

Step 4: blanking

After the steel strip covered with a reflection film, then we need a stamping press to blank the steel strip into a piece of required outline shape. The stamping press in this line is APA Gap frame press.

Step 5: Pressing

After getting a blanked shape metal, then we can make the raised numbers, and coloring the numbers. It will need an engraving machine and heat pressing machine, as well as heat printing films.

After all these steps, a vehicle registration plate has been made.

1. decoiler straightener combination

Decoiler Straightener combination makes uncoiling and straightening function into one machine unit. The combined structure guarantees synchronization between the decoiler part and straightener part, good for coil handling process and also saves workspace.

The model that used for this line is GL-300, precision combined decoiler straightener. It can decoiling and straightening sheet metal coil width up to 300mm, strip thickness from 0.3mm to 3.0mm.

With pneumatic pressure on straightener roller and worm gear adjusting, it can achieve precision straightening performance for many different kinds of sheet metal material.

 

2. Servo Roll Feeder

Servo Roll Feeder is our automatic coil feeder with servo control and pneumatic release. The RNC series can feeding sheet metal strips from thickness 0.2mm to 3.2mm, with maximum feeding speed 20m/min.

Unlike our standard Yaskawa servo pack and Mitsubishi PLC, this is a customized servo feeder with Siemens servo control system.
